================================
How to get dream job?
================================

college student must look inside to pursue the career

This is my notes and I will write the important points you should concern.

These are the points

1. For knowing yourself, try to list and answer below questions:

- your top five interest.

- our top five skills and abilities.

- Your top five career-related values.

- your top five personality traits

- your top five goals.

know who you are and your values to success

2. You can't possibly understand what career is best for you if you don't figure out what you want, what you are good at, what is important to you, etc.

3. Career tests can be very helpful for you to make a career plan and career path but it can't possibly cover everything about you.

4. Career tests do not tell, but they only suggest. They describe not what you should do but what you could do.

5. You can ask someone to obtain the answer what are you good at.  When it comes to your best skills and traits, you are probably oblivious to what is obvious to others.

6. Career choice goes beyond what you are good at. So, it important to know what you are good at.

7. If you know who you are, you can distinguish between what you enjoy and your interest and passions.

8. Find your values. To find out your values, find what matters to you.

9. What you are good at is just one piece of the career exploration and decision-making puzzle. So, set you puzzle by knowing and setting your interest, your passions, your values, and your personality.

10. I you hate something, you can not expect to continue doing well in it.

11. Abilities and skills are not the same as interest and passions.

George Burns said:"I would rather be a failure at something I enjoy than a success at something I hate."

12. It is one thing to be good at something; it is a completely different thing to enjoy that something-- especially enough to pursue it as a future career.

13. You have to live with your values.

14. It is okay if you discuss your values with your parents, your friends, your instructors, and read the opinion in the media (internet, TV, Radio, etc). They can tell you only what is important to them in a career, but only you know what is important to you.

15. Are you still confused and don't know what you want? You can try this: start with the opposite!

Cynhia Petrites said:"Reflecting on what you don't like can give you insight about what you do like."

16. Examples of point 15.

Ask yourself: What do I want to avoid in your future career?

After you list the answers, you will get the idea. Just try to obtain the opposite.

17. From point 16, you can figure out what you enjoy/want by identifying and analyzing what you do not enjoy and what you do not want.
